Mercury Rev — All Is Dream 25th anniversary.

The American indie band Mercury Rev has been active for 36 years but is still hard to pigeonhole. The lineup of core members Jonathan Donahue (guitar/vocals) and Sean Mackowiak (guitar/clarinet) combines indie rock, psychedelia and americana with cinematic orchestration — that Mercury Rev sometimes brings to mind The Flaming Lips is not surprising; Donahue was briefly a member of that band in the early nineties. Tonight Mercury Rev celebrates the 25th anniversary of their fifth album All Is Dream (2001) — expect classics like Little Rhymes, Hercules and of course The Dark Is Rising!
