Alex Apolline is a singer-songwriter from a small town near Glasgow, Scotland. Rooted in a background of theatre and storytelling, she was on stage at a young age before focusing on songwriting – a natural extension of her passion for vivid, emotionally charged stories. Her songs offer a glimpse into her world, combining personal experiences with lush arrangements and a cinematic sense of drama.
Her debut EP, Tales of an Eldest Daughter (produced by Oscar Lang – Beabadoobee, awfultune, Flyte), was released in May 2025 via Young Poet and introduced Alex's hauntingly ethereal sound and lyrical depth. On the EP, she explores themes such as heartbreak, childhood trauma, and the complexity of identity.
In November 2025, Alex Apolline released her new single *HIT ME WHERE IT HURTS *, a cinematic and infectious song that further cemented her position as a true musical storyteller. The track garnered over 1 million streams and received support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Scotland, and Spotify (New Music Friday UK).
With her second EP on the way, Alex marks a bold musical and visual evolution. She emerges from the mists of adolescence and moves towards something sharper, more sensual, and more self-assured. This second chapter captures the excitement and capriciousness of giving in to desire and experiencing life in its full intensity. With a more mature voice and fearless storytelling, The Sun From Both Sides is not only a continuation but also a declaration of growth, freedom, and the full embrace of her own power.
