Niels Orens is an electronic producer and live performer who explores the intersection between acoustic instrumentation and immersive electronic sound design. His music transforms organic textures into deeply atmospheric, emotionally charged soundscapes in which tension, spatial depth, and sonic detail take precedence over traditional song structures. Inspired by artists such as Yves Tumor, Burial, Eartheater, James Holden, and Jon Hopkins, Orens creates a sound that moves between fragmented breakbeats, menacing low frequencies, distorted textures, and fragile melodic moments—a balance between raw intensity and hushed calm. Written during periods of isolation and introspection, his work explores themes such as alienation, loneliness, and inner turmoil, translating emotional distance into compelling, slowly unfolding compositions that feel both physically direct and deeply human. ‍Orens' artistic development has been strongly shaped by his collaboration with Max Cooper, contributing to projects such as Unspoken Words and SEME, which premiered at venues like the Barbican in London and the Salzburg Easter Festival, alongside his contribution to Cooper's 2025 album On Being. Parallel to this, he shared the stage with artists such as Forest Swords, Rival Consoles, and Weval, and toured extensively throughout Europe, with shows at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels and a sold-out Koorzaal at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam during ADE. His live performances extend the emotional and cinematic quality of his recordings through immersive audiovisual elements and precise sound design, offering an intimate glimpse into a constantly evolving oeuvre that digs ever deeper into experimentation, texture, and emotional clarity. echofarmer (BE) is the alias of Brussels-based producer and musician Arne Nuyts. With a sound suitable for both the club and the couch, echofarmer creates enchanting mini-universes. Hyper-detailed percussion and deep subs merge with voice-like synths, acoustic instruments, and found sounds. By combining childlike playfulness with surgical precision, every live set is infectiously unique, brought together by echofarmer's tangible approach to sound and insatiable urge to experiment. ‍From Teletubbie hyperjungle to bedroom step and pillowcore: echofarmer blurs the line between dance floor and blanket tent.
