The American deathcore band Shadow of Intent (named after a spaceship from the Halo video game series) combines extreme metal with orchestral arrangements to create a unique sound of their own. On their fifth album, Imperium Delerium (2025), the band sounds—to the delight of many fans—much heavier than on the more mainstream predecessor, Elegy (2022), or as the reviewer from Zwaremetalen.com puts it: 'What brutality!' They are joined by three support acts: Aborted (BEL, grindcore/death metal), Disembodied Tyrant (US, deathcore), and Soreption (SWE, technical death metal).
