After a first and immediately sold-out headliner show at 013 in 2025, Spiritbox is ready for their biggest Dutch show to date. The year before the band had already played at AFAS Live where they provided support for the sold-out shows of Korn and Architects.
Since their formation Spiritbox has rapidly developed into one of the most leading and innovative acts within the modern metal scene. With a unique mix of metalcore, progressive metal and atmospheric electronic influences Spiritbox manages to appeal to both lovers of heavy music and a broader audience. Characteristic of their sound is the dynamic contrast between the powerful screams and clear singing of LaPlante, combined with technical riffs and layered productions.
After a series of early singles and EPs the band broke through worldwide with their debut album Eternal Blue from 2021, which was both commercially successful and received praise from critics. This breakthrough was further expanded with the EP The Fear of Fear from 2023, on which the single Jaded appeared, which earned the band their first Grammy nomination in the category Best Metal Performance. Spiritbox managed to maintain this recognition with subsequent nominations, including for Cellar Door and Soft Spine, with which they were nominated for a Grammy three years in a row. During the Grammy Awards of 2026 the band performed during the Premiere Ceremony with Soft Spine, an intense performance that underlined their growing international status.
In 2025 Spiritbox released their second studio album Tsunami Sea, with which they further strengthened their position in the global metal scene and further refined their sound. Besides their studio work the band is known for their strong live reputation, with international tours and performances at major festivals and collaborations with diverse artists, including a notable remix with Megan Thee Stallion. Through their constant artistic development and the ability to combine heavy music with emotional depth and accessibility Spiritbox is seen as one of the most important representatives of a new generation of metal bands that actively renews and shapes the genre.
