It has been 10 years since Stippenlift debuted with Huilen (Kerst), giving a new voice to complex (Christmas) emotions. What started as Dutch-language “depriwave” about difficult feelings, sensory overload, and other forms of emotional distress has since grown into a cult phenomenon, with longtime fans, new listeners, and thousands of people who mainly know Stippenlift from strange, “funny,” or confronting posts online. With an extensive collection of Christmas hits and the accompanying dose of festive trauma, the artist will take the stage at V11 on Thursday, December 10 for a special Christmas show. The ideal outing for anyone who doesn’t actually like outings, people, or Christmas, but secretly does anyway, or for those who feel they might one day become that kind of person.
