Sometimes the best ideas just happen spontaneously. During one of Aunt Alie’s metal quiz and karaoke nights in the Vrije Ruimte at TivoliVredenburg, the whole group suddenly started singing along. And let’s be honest: it sounded surprisingly good. So good, in fact, that it started to itch for Aunt Alie… “Why don’t we actually start a metal choir?” And where better to do that than in Aunt Alie and Uncle Flo’s now almost adopted metal living room: the Vrije Ruimte at TivoliVredenburg? So yes indeed: it is official. The Tante Alies Metal Choir is born! 🤘
The goal?
Together we are working towards a wonderful, solid, cozy, and surprising Christmas concert full of killer metal songs, sing-alongs, and goosebumps moments. Think power ballads, classic and brand-new metal anthems, and songs that make you spontaneously grab your air guitar.
And no, you absolutely don't have to be a perfect singer. Enthusiasm is much more important than pitch accuracy. Can't sing? No worries. That's what rehearsals are for. We help each other, have a good laugh, and above all, make it a fun time. So put on your favorite band shirt, warm up those vocal cords, and come sing along. Whether you're a hardcore metalhead, a secret karaoke champion, or just curious: you are welcome.
