Naturally, the keyboardist plays basslines with their left hand on a historically accurate Fender Rhodes Piano Bass with a silver or gold top, just as Ray Manzarek did. The band also utilizes vintage Fender amplifiers and original microphones to perfect their sound. “The sound of The Doors on stage was often more compelling and raw than their studio recordings,” the tribute band explains. Drawing inspiration from live albums such as Live at the Aquarius Theatre, Live in Pittsburgh, Live in New York, Live in Stockholm, Live at the Matrix, and In Concert, they faithfully channel the energy and essence of The Doors’ unforgettable performances.
