The Scratch, originally a 100% metal band named Red Enemy, evolved into a beloved live band in Ireland, combining triumphant folk choruses with hard rock and heavy metal. They started with acoustic guitars and a wooden box in Dublin, went viral in 2017, and have performed in sold-out venues, including opening for Dropkick Murphy's. They will perform in Utrecht on December 7, 2026, with support from DUG, who blend American old-time with Irish folk classics.
