After two sold-out concerts in Patronaat, WENDE returns to Haarlem this fall with her new tour Vrijplaats. In PHIL, the singer chooses an authentic approach to her music on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 November. Back to basics: two pianos, a voice and a song, and guest artists.

Wende and pianist Nils Davidse create a unique atmosphere, in which they challenge themselves to be maximally in the moment with minimal means. The setlist changes every night and every show is colored by a different guest artist – a well-known or upcoming artist that Wende admires for their musical purity. Which guest artists will perform during Vrijplaats on tour will be announced at a later time, but again: who will perform on which night will remain a surprise in this version of the show.

Wende started her career in 2003 and has since created eight albums and six of her own shows, with success both at home and abroad. In 2023, she reached a new high in her career with the album Sterrenlopen, which features collaborations with Froukje and S10. The album debuted at #2 in the Dutch album charts and Wende performed at Lowlands that year, among others. This was added to her already impressive resume, which includes Edison Awards in almost every category, as well as a Golden Calf nomination as an actress. In the past year, Wende further expanded her oeuvre. She toured internationally with The Promise, played a second sold-out club tour of Sterrenlopen, released her EP Vrijplaats and closed the year with a series of sold-out shows in Carré. One thing is for sure: Wende continues to surprise as one of the most versatile artists in the Netherlands.
