It is safe to say that Weval has one of the best live reputations thanks to their layered and thoughtful electronic music. The duo has already performed all over the world and at festivals such as Lowlands, Primavera, Best Kept Secret, Rock en Seine, and DGTL Amsterdam. Now Weval is coming to Patronaat on Friday, October 2nd, during the Haarlem Vinyl Festival!
Weval, consisting of Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholten Albers, debuted in 2013 and immediately stood out with their warm, analog, and cinematic sound. Their fourth album, 'CHOROPHOBIA', was released recently and leans towards something they never dared to venture into: dance. It is therefore not surprising that they named the album this way, as chorophobia is the fear of dancing. The result is a groovy and distinctive album that will make their live shows even more impressive!

For Weval: Nebula
NEBULA is a room without a ceiling, walls, or floor. On stage, surrounded by electronic instruments, she creates atmospheric music for those who want to lie on the ground and sink away, but you can also dance to the pulsating rhythm—the choice is yours. A place between the storm and the calm after the storm. NEBULA is more than an artist; she is an experience.
Na Weval: Ineffekt
With a mix of sparkling vocals, dreamy melodic lines, and distinct rhythms, Ineffekt cleverly creates a sound that feels both familiar and elusive. Surrounded by influences from a wide range of contemporary music, he does not aim for a single clearly defined sound, but rather for a balance between eras and styles. Over the past two years, his work has led to esteemed artists and left-field platforms embracing his output. Previously, the 23-year-old supported Avalon Emerson, Bicep, Bonobo, Disclosure, Mall Grab, and Sammy Virji, and played at Draaimolen, Dekmantel, DGTL, Lowlands, Best Kept Secret, and leading dance floors such as De School, Nitsa, and Club Raum.
