A workshop on target audience thinking, climate stories and winning people over.
How do you tell a climate story that is not only accurate, but also resonates with someone outside your own bubble?
When it comes to climate issues in particular, our sense of urgency and conviction can quickly lead us to adopt a ‘broadcast’ mode. Yet a story can only truly resonate if you’re mindful of who you’re addressing: what’s on their mind, what drives them, and where is there room to connect?
Drawing on their work in Belgium and the Netherlands and their background in brand strategy and creative work, Tallita Ortiz de la Torre and Patrick van Haperen know just how natural it is to think in terms of target audiences, motivations and barriers. In this workshop, they apply that perspective to climate stories and challenge creators to do the same.
Because a story doesn’t just start with what you want to say, but with who you want to reach.
