Piano virtuoso plays emotionally charged neo-classical
The Italian pianist and composer Andrea Vanzo has in recent years become one of the most notable names within modern neoclassical music. From his home base in the hills around Bologna he creates intimate, film-like piano pieces in which modern classical music and subtle pop influences merge. His compositions are deeply rooted in nature: the rustling of the wind, flowing water and the silence of a sunrise form the inspiration for music that captures emotions where words fall short.
Vanzo broke through internationally during the pandemic when he began sharing his music via social media. He now reaches hundreds of millions of listeners and has grown into one of the most influential neoclassical artists of the moment, with more than a million followers on Instagram. His dreamy arrangement of Song of Storms from The Legend of Zelda also gained him new fans worldwide.
After the success of Intimacy Vol. 1 the follow-up Intimacy Vol. 2 was released in 2025. On both albums Vanzo translates his love for nature, stillness and human emotions into warm, cinematic piano music. Live he performs these compositions with the same intimacy with which they were created: restrained, captivating and made for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
