The versatile rapper and TikTok sensation Bokoesam released his debut EP 'Nog Nooit Meegemaakt' in 2014. Typical Sam classics like 'No Go Zone', '50 Cent', 'Mijn Schuld', 'Net Iets Meer', and 'Go Go Club' have stood the test of time and are still frequently heard in clubs and at festivals. Additionally, Bokoesam has received the prestigious Popprijs and two Edisons over the last decade with the groundbreaking collective 'New Wave'. In recent years, we have heard different sounds from Bokoesam. In 2023, he released his latest project, the EP 'Party Sam'. The album 'Nachtvlinder' was awarded a gold record and laid the foundation for his Dutch dancehall style that we hear on 'Go Go Club Vol. 1' and 'Doe Het Nou Gewoon'. Bokoesam ended the year 2024 with 'Nachtvlinder 2', a more personal album in which he candidly shares how the past years have been for him. In 2022, Bokoesam expanded his live show and played for the first time with a full-fledged dancehall band. Bokoesam was then invited to close the Zomercarnaval Rotterdam as the headliner of the event. Inspired by the dancehall show and the fact that the diverse sounds from his entire oeuvre come into their own in a live setting have ensured that Bokoesam has developed a permanent live setup.
