CURBSIDE LAMBSEAR
Curbside Lambsear is Annabelle Mödlinger and Magdalena McLean. Their collaboration explores raw textures and gentle intentions, in which elements of pop, folk, and improvisation converge with influences from drone, dub, and post-punk. The project originated as a way for Magdalena and Annabelle to write music together, working with DAWs during early sessions. Their music emerges from time together in the studio, where diverse influences are brought together into a collage of phone notes, short poems written on public transport, field recordings, sample loops, rehearsal voice memos, and string melodies that merge, are rearranged, and sometimes grow into songs.

Indie Stock places itself in a context that it both admires and challenges. Every wall is movable and not a single coincidence is coincidental. Just when a track presents itself as one thing, it reveals that it has been something else all along. Make no mistake, somewhere in the heart of it all lies something, even though its heartbeat resonates simultaneously from all directions. The listener becomes the toad, willingly allowing itself to be boiled in a shimmering liquid until it is too late: the bass kicks in and can no longer be unheard.
From 2, Amsterdam's self-proclaimed company of folk mutants, takes stock of it all on this record: restrained affect in tumultuous settings, a mole revolt of epic proportions, the secret workings of pornography platforms, and memories. One track invites you to dance, stumble, or float, while another sounds like something a ghost should be singing. Above all, it is real.
