Los Angeles-based drone-pop band Dummy create euphoric, psychedelic guitar songs, but refuse to be pigeonholed into a single artistic direction: inspired by sixties melodies and nineties noise pop, their music also reflects influences from jazz, new age and minimalism. On their new album ‘do you lovethecolor ofthesky?’, the quartet tackles themes that concern us all: climate change, the rise of AI and the ever-increasing encroachment of mass surveillance. Serious subjects, wrapped up in euphoric noise-pop and adventurous soundscapes.
