IJSLAND isn't a country, it's a supergroup. Sef and Abel connect, repel, and reconnect like charged particles, resulting in a series of nuclear explosions. Purely on instinct, IJSLAND 2, just like its predecessor, was thrown together within a week. Once again, produced entirely by Antwerp superproducer DJ Faisxl, IJSLAND's fifth Beatle. IJSLAND 2 demands that you sit on the edge of your seat for almost 50 minutes. It will make you laugh, cry, scream. The record is about terror, cake, conspiracies, and disappointments. Under the motto "more is more," they neither hesitate nor hesitate to mix genres head-on. Ultimately, this results in a record that can be described as intense, complex, and overwhelming, a reflection of the times we live in.

A lot happened between IJSLAND 1 and 2. Cabinets fell, wars raged. Sef had his most successful year ever with his acclaimed album "Lieve Monsters," which he toured with a sold-out tour. Abel released the Edison-nominated album "ER IS HOPE"* with Hang Youth and wrote the bestseller "Chaotic Thinking for Advanced Players" for Das Mag. In 2024, IJSLAND went blitzkrieg. Two unannounced major festival shows at Lowly and Rabbithole, and two sold-out Melkweg shows on the same night. This year they're looking to capitalize on their live reputation; it promises to be a freezing summer.
