In 2024, Mula B performed twice in Haarlem; now he returns on Saturday, October 3rd at PHIL.
In the meantime, he rocked countless festivals, released his album 'Narcopop', and won an Edison for Best Hip Hop.
'Narcopop' is regarded as the Best Dutch-Language Hip-Hop Album of 2023. Not surprising, as track by track it is evident that Mula B has further developed his current style. Trap, hip-hop, and even jazz and rock are fused with pop. Add to that Mula's lyrics – which deal primarily with street life and his experiences – and you arrive at art.
Mula B introduced trap to the Netherlands with the label and occasional collective Wilde Westen. His first achievement was the mixtape D&G, which is regarded as one of the defining albums in the Dutch hip-hop scene due to its unique beats combined with innovative flows and language.
