JEMBAA GROOVE — A beautiful blend of Highlife and Jazz. Sunday 22 November 2026. After receiving enormous support from international media: KEXP, BBC 6 Music, Gilles Peterson, Soulection, KCRW, FIP and many others following their first two albums Susuma and Ye Ankasa / We Ourselves, Jembaa Groove returns to Paard! Highlife, Jazz. By joining forces with the “premium highlifers” The Cavemen the band came together for a contemporary interpretation of highlife, jazz and afrobeats, with a contribution from the legendary Malian singer Fatoumata Diawara, who both also come to Paard with their own shows. The new wave of afro-jazz is blooming worldwide, and Jembaa Groove is on its way to becoming one of the main ambassadors of this promising genre. The newest additions to the line-up consist of two highly praised members of the European jazz scene, who are themselves also successful bandleaders. Location: Kleine Zaal. Doors open 19:00.
