Everything Yes from North Carolina, USA, creates energetic, funky jazz fusion that is both highly danceable and musically surprising. If Vulfpeck and Sungazer were to collaborate, the sound would likely come very close to that of this quintet. The band originated from jam sessions between college friends at East Carolina University. The driving force is drummer and YouTuber Zack Grooves. He and his bandmates transform extended improvisations into playful, rhythmically interesting songs featuring catchy saxophone themes. On stage, the musicians do not shy away from risks. Or, as they put it in their own words, Everything Yes is about creativity, openness, and always saying 'yes' to being in the moment.
