Australian singer Kita Alexander makes indie pop that sounds lighthearted at first listen, but combines this with personal lyrics about love, loss, and mental health. In 2023, she broke through with the track Atmosphere, a collaboration with producer FISHER that has since garnered a quarter billion Spotify streams. On her debut album Young In Love (2024), Alexander's versatility is clearly evident: a country ballad (with Australian singer Morgan Evans) comes just as easily to her as the empowerment anthem Queen.
