KRUIDKOEK & JOOST OOMEN Kruidkoek & Joost Oomen present a unique mix of punk jazz, poetry, and everything imaginable to dance to. The four members of Kruidkoek, each a highly skilled musician playing in bands such as DeWolff, De Niemanders, and Broken Brass, form a solid foundation over which Joost Oomen whips up the crowd with his loud, ironic poetry, drawing influences from Dada, Ginsberg, and John Cooper Clarke. The result? A dance party where people throw oranges at a gong, shoot bananas at each other, and scream “Saw, pudding, pudding, saw” at the highest volume (but never louder than Joost). A Dutch, stranger, and more cheerful version of their British counterparts Antony Szmierek and Kae Tempest. The audience already enjoyed a preview at Explore the North Festival 2025 and Noorderslag 2026, and now they are going on tour with this show!
