Australian singer-songwriter Stu Larsen retreated from civilization for twelve months to seek peace in the most remote corners of the world. Armed with only a guitar and basic recording equipment, he wrote a new song each month in a different location. The result of this journey is the project "Solitude," a collection of songs in which Larsen explores the magic of completely disconnecting from modern society.
Storytelling is central to his music, allowing him to transport you into his thoughts and emotions without the distractions of the digital age. During his concert at the Zonzij in Tolhuistuin, he will present this personal account of a year of travel and slowing down. Expect an intimate evening full of atmospheric folk music and stories about the necessity of silence in a noisy world.
