The Dutch-English singer/musician Tessa Rose Jackson began her musical career under the pseudonym Someone, but she has since, quite rightly, cast that modesty aside. On her new album The Lighthouse (2026), you hear, as OOR puts it, 'the work of a mature artist who knows exactly how to apply her talent'. Lyrically, the record revolves around processing grief and rediscovering your inner compass; musically, it is carefully constructed, beautifully sung and arranged indie folk and chamber pop. The Lighthouse is a beacon for every singer-songwriter, performed tonight with a string quartet!
