The Australian band The Meltdown takes you back to the heyday of soul and rhythm & blues, or as they describe it: Southern Soul from the great southern land. The band's greatest asset is the voice of singer Simon Burke (perhaps he's related to Solomon?), who possesses just the right blend of grittiness and warmth. Following The Meltdowns' self-titled debut album in 2017, their follow-up, It's A Long Road, was released in 2022, and their third album is scheduled for release this spring.
