The unique English band Tindersticks has been around for nearly 35 years. Their sound revolves largely around the intriguing, soulful voice of frontman Stuart Staples: combined with carefully arranged chamber pop, Staples leads the listener from melancholy through mild despair to solace. In 2024, Tindersticks' fourteenth studio album, Soft Tissue, was released; following the somewhat more experimental two preceding records, it is once again a true band album, based on clear song structures and interplay. The underlying tension in Tindersticks' music always finds a virtuoso release live!
