The stage name of French soul, blues, and gospel singer Tiwayo refers to the nickname 'The Young Old' (TYO) bestowed upon him during a trip through the United States. The Frenchman looks young (even though he is already 39), but sings as if he has a long life in music behind him. On his new, third album Outsider (2026), Tiwayo's retro-soul sound is better than ever, thanks to producer/guitarist Adrian Quesada, one half of Black Pumas.
