The Dutch singer Kovacs has a unique voice that alternately reminds one of Etta James, Amy Winehouse, and Shirley Bassey. The songs she writes are so raw that they sometimes physically hurt. Since her international breakthrough in 2014 with the EP My Love, she has performed at the biggest festivals at home and abroad: North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Pinkpop, Glastonbury, and Sziget.
