Three decades ago B-Real, Sen Dog and DJ Muggs unleashed a musical journey that left popular culture bewildered, stunned and full of anticipation. Cypress Hill, named after a street in Los Angeles, broke through in 1991 with the release of their self-titled debut album. The singles How I Could Just Kill a Man and The Phuncky Feel One became underground hits and the group's open support for cannabis earned them many fans within the alternative rock scene.

Melt Banana is an experimental duo from Tokyo, known for their intense and lightning-fast sound full of complex rhythms and unexpected twists. What started as a four-piece band in the 1990s is now a duo: singer Yasuko Onuki (Yako) and guitarist Ichiro Agata (Agata). Live they work with PC and samples, without losing strength.

Drawing on this crossover interest, the duo says they learn a lot from collaborations, which has already resulted in productions with The Flaming Lips, The Alchemist, Outkast's Big Boi and Tom Morello.
