The Australian singer/guitarist Courtney Barnett broke through in 2015 with her stunning debut album Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit. Nirvana-like indie rock with nonchalant lyrics was her trademark in those early days, but she is now four albums (one of which with Kurt Vile) further - her fifth album Creature Of Habit was released at the end of March. That Barnett has exchanged Australia for Los Angeles is clearly audible: the new work sounds more cheerful and poppy. It has been eight years since Courtney Barnett was in our Ronda - welcome back!
