Every year, HBA On Tour organizes a tour for emerging rockers, pop stars, and hip-hoppers from the Herman Brood Academy. Artists such as Rondé, Sem Hulsmann, 45ACIDBABIES, and Fit have previously joined the tour. The selected artists are going to blow the roof off in various venues throughout the Netherlands.
What makes this tour so special? All programs of the Herman Brood Academy are featured: Students from the Music Industry Professional and Stage and Event Technology programs collaborate with HBA artists to organize a series of धमाकेदार shows.
Floris Kegel
Floris Kegel is an indie rock/dreampop singer-songwriter from Haarlem. His new album is a conceptual work that tells the story of John, a character who also takes on the role of frontman during the live show. Floris Kegel combines soft, dreamy dreampop songs with fragile vocals, but switches just as effortlessly to loud indie-grunge tracks, backed by a full band. In doing so, both the vocals and the distorted guitars go completely wild.
Vergilius
Vergilius delivers grunge the way they know it in Seattle. The band formed in mid-2024 in the studios of the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht. United by their love for anxious lyrics and hoarse vocals, Vergilius has clearly managed to put themselves on the HBA's radar. The four-piece formation – consisting of vocalist Jannes, guitarist Joshua, bassist Stan, and drummer Johan – wastes no time. Looking for heavy? Then look for Vergilius. With a sound comparable to that of Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Velvet Revolver, you can be sure that no one in the crowd will be standing still.
Fietsband
The Amsterdam band Fietsband brings ska into your life in a fresh way. They talk about dancing, dancing alone, cycling through the city, and typical urban drama: stolen bikes and yuppies. With up-tempo ska rhythms, playful synthesizers, and catchy lyrics, they deliver an energetic and danceable show where you won't be able to stand still.
