Hiigo is a modern Dutch pop band from Zwolle, founded in 2021 by singer/guitarist Hans van de Werf, along with guitarist Dion van der Geest, bassist Aart de Gier, keyboardist Peter Terluin, and drummer Koen Gardebroek. After a series of independently released singles, the band's breakthrough came in 2024 with "Tankstation," which became a Radio 2 Top Song and was played extensively on both Radio 2 and 3FM. Their success led to sold-out shows, festival appearances, and opening slots for bands like Bløf and Krezip.
Their debut album, "Leven In De Leegte," produced by Rob Peters, was released in March 2025 and earned another TopSong. Hiigo was named 3FM Serious Talent, nominated for a 3FM Award, and will play their biggest solo show yet in a sold-out Pandora Hall at TivoliVredenburg in February 2026, while they work towards their second album.
