Hiigo from Zwolle is at the forefront of the new wave in Dutch pop music. With a full band, they create immersive Dutch-language songs that seamlessly blend subtle, introspective verses with vibrant, energetic choruses. Despite the weightiness of their themes, their music remains lighthearted and uplifting. The five-piece band is clearly inspired by bands like Doe Maar, De Dijk, and Acda en de Munnik, but adds a fresh, modern twist—infused with youthful exuberance and freedom.

On March 14, 2025, their debut album 'Leven In De Leegte' will be released—a poignant reflection on loss and transience, but also on the resilience and vitality that lie within emptiness. Previously released singles such as 'Tankstation' have already made an impact, earning the 'Topsong' title on Radio 2 and reaching number one on 3FM's Verlanglijst. The album is produced by Rob Peters, known for his work with Typhoon, Maaike Ouboter, and Bløf.
