The Dutch-language rock band Van Dik Hout still takes to the stage with youthful energy. Martin Buitenhuis and his band can look back on an impressive career with an equally impressive start: 100,000 copies of the debut album Van Dik Hout (1994) were sold in no time. Side project De Poema's (with Acda & De Munnik) is also still doing well, as evidenced by the 'Vrienden van Amstel' hit Op Jou Heb Ik Gewacht, which they scored last year (with Snelle). With their poetic, honest rock of consistently high quality, Van Dik Hout is a vibrant monument of Dutch pop!
